At the appointed time we'll meet at Largo S. Martino. With the bustling city of Naples below us, we'll embark on an unforgettable journey along the ancient path called Pedamentina, the living history of the capital of Campania!
Before starting down this emblematic set of stairs, we'll stop to contemplate the Certosa di San Martino, an old monastic complex converted into a museum. After learning about its history, we'll take advantage of this viewpoint to enjoy its incredible panoramic views of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. Get your cameras ready!
Now it's time for the most important part of the tour! We'll begin the descent of the 414 steps that make up the Pedamentina stairs. During the walk, we'll talk about why this route, which dates back to the 14th century, is so important and we'll get a breathtaking view of the Gulf of Naples and the winding cobblestone streets below.
During the final stretch of the tour, we'll stop at the famous Pignasecca market, where we'll learn the secrets of Neapolitan cuisine. You'll even get the opportunity to taste the food from the stalls, yum!
We'll end the tour after two hours at the Pignasecca market.
