Naples Highlights Tour
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Piazza del Municipio. From this point, we'll begin a guided tour of Naples that'll lead us to delve into the noble and elegant past of the capital of Campania whilst admiring some of its most iconic monuments.
After seeing the Naples City Hall building, we'll walk towards the Castel Nuovo, whose origins date back to the 13th century. We'll talk about the numerous sackings and battles that this building has withstood and we'll reveal some legends about its dungeons. We'll admire its great triumphal arch and explain its links with European royal houses.
The next stop on the tour will be in front of the St. Charles Theater. We'll look at its Neoclassical façade and recall the great fire the building faced back in 1816. We'll continue traveling back in time, specifically to the Belle Époque, seeing representative examples of this era such as the Umberto I Gallery, a luxury fashion and restaurant mall, or the Gambrinus cafe. Also, halfway through the tour, we'll stop at a traditional bar in the Spanish Quarter to enjoy a traditional Neapolitan coffee.
This tour of must-see places in Naples will also take us through Piazza del Plebiscito, where we can admire the Royal Palace, the Basilica of San Francesco di Paola and many sculptures of former Neapolitan kings.
Before bid you farewell, we'll walk along the promenade to enjoy its panoramic views of the Gulf of Naples with the imposing Vesuvius in the background. The tour will take us to the Castle of the Egg, one of the oldest fortresses of the city. Would you like to know the legend behind its name? You'll find out on this tour!
After two hours we'll end this tour of Naples' highlights by the Egg Castle.
