Combo: Naples, Pompeii & Mount Vesuvius Tour
Between 8 am and 8:15 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Naples or from the train station or port, depending on your booking. Let's go and explore the main monuments in and around this historic city!
Our day will begin with a sightseeing tour of Naples, the perfect and most comfortable way to explore the city's old quarter. From the bus, we'll have great views of the city's historic buildings. We'll also stop a few times so you can take lots of photos.
During the tour, you'll admire the Naples Cathedral, discover the history of the Castel Nuovo, and pass through the famous Piazza del Plebiscito to see both the Royal Palace and the Basilica of San Francesco di Paola. We'll reveal the city's interesting link with Spain before making a final stop at the Posillipo viewpoint.
After a two-hour tour of Naples, we'll head to the ruins of Pompeii. We'll explore one of the most famous archaeological sites in the world and consider what daily life was like for people here during the period of the Roman Empire, before the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD. A guide will accompany us as we visit the forum, baths, theatre, brothel, and many other buildings.
At the end of the guided tour of Pompeii, we'll have a filling lunch of pizza and a drink. Bon appétit!
The last stop on our combo tour will be at one of the most famous volcanoes in the world. We'll go on a short hike to the top of Mount Vesuvius, which has an altitude of 4,000 feet (1,200 meters). After 30 minutes of walking, we'll reach the top of the crater and look out at breathtaking views of the Bay of Naples.
We'll get back on the bus and finish our day trip back at your hotel or at the different starting points.
